Abstract

1.1Introduction Traffic0monitoring0is0a0very0difficult0task0for0traffic0control0department,0especially0in0large cities.0This0prototype0project0is0designed0to0monitor0a0traffic0light0controlled0intersection0by0us ing0a0camera,0whenever0a0vehicle0breaks0the0traffic0rules0the0camera0takes0a0snap0shot. Cameras0are0devices0that,0when0linked0to0the0signal0controller,0automatically0photograph vehicles0that0enters0the0intersection0after0the0onset0of0the0red0light.0Typically0offending0drivers 0enter0the0intersection0102seconds0after0the0onset0of0the0red0and0most0cameras0are0set0to0start0 photographing0the0drivers0upon0the02esecond0after0red.0Red0light0cameras0are0used0to0improve 0safety0at0traffic-light0controlled0intersections.00Typically,0the0cameras0are0installed0at0highaccident0intersections0or0at0locations0where0drivers0are0likely0to0disobey0traffic0signals.0Using0 sensors,0the0vehicles0are0monitored0with0reference0to0the0traffic0light0indicators.0A0proximity induction0sensor0always0on0and0if0a0vehicle0exceeds0the0control0line0on0the0road,0after0RED0 light0is0on,0the0camera0switches0on0and0the0images0are0stored0in0Windows0Media0file.0The0 authority0can0view0the0images0from0a0remote0computer.
