This research work is on the, “Impact of Single Parenting on Child’s Spiritual Development and its effects on the Society using Ohafia Community”. Single Parent homes are increasing in our society. The major causes of this are divorce, death and choice to remain single either as a lesbian or gayest. This is almost applicable in some communities in Igbo land even in Ohafia. This has a lot of negative impacts and effects on the child’s spiritual development and the society with little positive effects and impacts. The aim of this research is to find out the problem and possibly the way out. The researcher adopted multidimensional approach in this study to achieve the aim and objective of the study. Its methodology involves descriptive, analytical and evaluative based on the fact that nothing have been written on this topic. The researcher made use of both the survey and library method. The researcher recommended that the solution to the problem of single parenting is the intensification of guidance counseling to parents by Schools and Ministry of Social Welfare with the support of the government, the three tiers of government stepping up their efforts adequately and re-orientate social and Christian agencies to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively by wedging war against divorce, illegitimate sex, negligence of duty etcetera that will bring single parenting and forewarning married couples against factors that can cause single parenting in marriage and its effects on children development and the society.
