ABSTRACT
This study assess the role of N-Power in poverty alleviation in Niger State using Lapai Local Government N-power participants. Three research questions were formulated to guide the study. The study used a survey design. The sample of the study constituted 100 N-power beneficiaries from Lapai Local Government Area. A questionnaire was used to gather data while table, percentage and t-test were used to analyze the data. Major findings revealed that slow economic growth and inadequate access to education are the causes of poverty in LapaiLocal Government Area of Niger State.Government has played an effective role in seeing to the eradicating poverty in LapaiLocal Government Area of Niger State and N-power programmes has played a great to achieving this in LapaiLocal Government Area of Niger State. It was recommended that Government should try and strengthen the N-power programmes so that more people would benefit from the scheme. The beneficiary people should put more efforts in sustaining the N-power programmes in their domain to encourage others to participate in the programme.
