ABSTRACT
The project work of the topic “Budget and Budgetary control in local government”. The major problems that arise in respect of budget in government parastatals in Nigeria comprises of five chapters in which each chapter contain particular information related to the research work as follows. Chapter one contain introductary part of the research, aims and objectives of the project and also scope and coverage of the project, in this chapter the meaning or defination of budget and budgatary were stated. Chapter two contain literature review of many writers on the relavant topic which some books, journals, newspapers , etc. Was consulted. It is in this chapter that the statistical tools used in chapter four for data analysis are stated. Chapter three of the project contains the method of data collection in which the method used in data collection of the research was stated. The problems encountered during the data collection was also stated and the data collected was presented by the used of tables and diagrams. Chapter four of the research comprises of analysis of data collected in which the statistical tools stated in chapter two are asked in the analysis. The result obtained from the analyses was also disclosed. Chapter five contain the summary of the whole project, the conclusion of the result obtained from the analysis Recommendation of the result and the Bibliography.
