Radiation Protection (RP) is a tool for the management of measures to protect health against the risks (for people and environment) generated by the use of ionizing radiation. The aim of this study is “To Determine the Availability Of Radiation Protection And Monitoring Devices In Kaduna Metropolis On Three Selected Hospitals (Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna, Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital, Kaduna And Hajiya Gambo Sawaba Hospital, Zaria. The research design is prospective and cross sectional in nature. All the x-ray facilities in all the three hospitals were included in the study as the population of the study area. Twenty Five (25)X-ray staffs of the Department of Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna, Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital, Kaduna and Hajiya Gambo Sawaba Hospital, Zaria were considered as the sample size.Simple random sampling technique was employed for this study.
