ABSTRACT: Severe malaria is a life-threatening medical emergency and requires prompt and effective treatment to prevent death. Half of the wor1d~s population (3.3 billion people) lives in atrisk areas for Malaria, in 109 different countries. Malaria is responsible for three thousand deaths every day. This means that more than one million people each year lose their life because of this disease. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 300 and 500 million people are infected. Most of these people are young children in sub-Saharan Africa (CDC, 2009). Our research made us aware, however, of how malaria is spread and why it is a huge problem in under-developed countries and in countries with hot and moist climates that attract large mosquito populations. Though these areas have adopted the use of Mosquito nets, still they are poorly used. The study revealed that the use of Mosquito nets when properly used is the most effective barrier of mosquito bites and eventually preventing Malaria. The demo is developed to help the proper use of mosquito nets. The demo is in form of a movie clip that runs for about five minutes. The clip shows the step -by-step procedures of how mosquitoes enter the house and the way they attack their victims, The other half of the clip shows how to treat a mosquito net and the way to hand it and tuck it in to avoid mosquito bites. The researcher had it mind that the clip be played on different visual media like Televisions, be embedded in websites and cinemas in order to educate the masses on the effective way of using mosquito nets. All objects in the clip were designed using different graphics software that provides the capability of turning the designs/models into video format/clips. The separate clips were then joined with audio clips using different software to come up with one whole clip
