ABSTRACT
The study was conducted on non-usage of personal protective devices, among industrial workers, a case study of Akoti sawmill in Ise/Orun Local Government Area, Ise-Ekiti. The study population was limited to 68 workers in the factory of which 40 workers were selected using simple random sampling technique. A survey research design was adopted for analyzing the variable. Both direct and indirect (primary and secondary) sources were used for data collection.
It has been observed that many Workers in factories and industries develop ill health during the course of working operation mainly because of non-usage of personal protective devices which expose workers to various hazards in the working environment. To curb this menace, there is need to inform the workers, management and the public, the reason/cause, effect and control of the problem by research work.
