The objective of this study was to find out the impact of doing teaching practice and receiving lectures on student teacher's academic performance in UNILAG, Nigeria. The relative impact of each of the two independent variables on the dependent was also investigated. A survey design was adopted and the study sample consisted of 21 graduating student teachers and 14 education graduates selected across all departments in faculty of education, UNILAG using random sampling techniques. Two hypotheses guided the study. Instrument for data collection was a web questionnaire. Hypotheses were tested using multiple regression and t-test. The result of the study showed that both teaching practice and receiving lectures jointly had a significant effect on student teacher's academic performance. There was also a significant correlation between the joint predictor variables and academic performance.
