This paper is an exposition on the plight of refugees and displaced persons in Nigeria and the impact which their plight has had on the society. The research contends that displaced persons are victims of various kinds of injustices, confrontations, perpetrated by either the government against them or by other means like communal clashes, riots, terrorism, religious conflicts, natural disaster and so on, they remain within their country but outside their community While the refugees are those displaced but have sought for refuge across the borders of their country. The study is divided into six chapters, the research questions were answered using the responses gotten from the distributed questionnaires and oral interviews and were analyzed using the simple percentage table.
