CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study In today’s economy, efficiency and agility of doing business is a key for an organization’s survival. The www, with it ease of use, and global acceptance even by the relatively computer illiterate makes it an ideal to make a web based system for doing the business online reservation or booking that covers the whole world. While a web based hotel reservation and booking at various convenient locations in most major cities of coverage for presence every potential customers. Hotel reservation system is sometimes referred to, in a restrictive sense, as information technology management. The study of reservation system is usually business administration discipline. It concentrates on the integration of the aims of the organization. According to Hutchinson (2000) [3], reservations are designed to offer an organized mechanism for storing, managing and retrieving information. They do so through the use of tables and forms.
