ABSTRACT

This study examines the Influence of Organizational Structure on Organizational Effectiveness. The sample comprised of fifty employees from four different banks. Questionnaire were constructed to administer the subjects. The hypotheses were formulated and tested using chi-square non-parametric analysis to determine the Influence of Organizational structure on Organizational Effectiveness. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive statistical analysis which was processed using the SSPS package. Regression analysis was also computed to test the hypotheses of the study. The findings show that there are differences between an effective organisation and an ineffective organization. Effectiveness can be measured quantitatively and qualitatively. On the bases of the findings, it is recommended that employees be involved when the structure of a company is being designed. Also, customer’s opinion should be sought on how effective a bank is and how they see the structure of the bank.
