ABSTRACT
This study identified the Impact of education on curbing the spread of Corona Virus (Covid-19) among secondary school students in Kaduna North Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The Nobel Corona virus caused a lot of havoc all over the world, affecting every sectors and industries especially the education sector as the lockdown measure of government becomes often an unavoidable measure towards curbing eth spread. However, it is discovered that despite the lockdown, the deadly virus continue to spread. The study therefore becomes necessary to highlight the importance of proper enlightenment (education) as a veritable tool towards curbing the spread of the virus. The study adopted descriptive research design method. the research instruments used for this study was questionnaire titled “The Impact Of Education On Curbing The Spread Of Corona Virus A Case Study Of Selected Secondary School In Kaduna North LGA Of Kaduna State”. The results obtained were used to determine the causes, effect, and strategies for curbing the virus. Data were analyzed using frequency counts and percentage in answering the four research questions formulated. The findings of the study showed that if people especially students are rightly and properly enlightened (educated) on the vital information about corona virus – means of its spread, and means of curbing it such as proper hygiene, hand washing, use of face/nose mask and social distance among others, the virus, within a limited time will be curbed. It was recommended that schools should embark on aggressive enlightenment of students and their host communities on the importance of hand washing and good hygiene.
