ABSTRACTThis study focuses on the impact of Electronic banking on the payment system in Nigeria.The main  objective   of this  work  is to  identify how  electronic   banking has  impacted  orimproved the payment system in Nigeria and its impact on customer satisfaction. In other toachieve  this, primary data which exist inform of  questionnaire and oral  interviews andsecondary data inform of journals, articles and books were used. Three hypotheses wereformulated   and   analyzed   with   simple   percentage   and   Chi-Square   statistical   methods.Results shows that e-banking has tremendously improved the payment system in Nigeria,improved customers transactions in payment for goods and services and has also improvedcustomers satisfaction. IN conclusion, the study reveals that e-banking plays a major role inthe payment process in Nigeria.
