Mwangaa poultry farm is located at Ngong target markets is Retailers around Nairobi, Nakuru, HoReCa and supermarket chains. The market is located in the immediate environment, household, restaurants, hotels, event planners. The business will be a limited liability company and the proprietor of the business is Jomo Mwangala, who has done business in Kajiado for the past 5 years. The proprietor has worked in the poultry sector for more than five years as a farm manager and marketer.

Estimated startup capital is Ksh 1,960,133.00. The business will be financed   through a grant crowd funding which will make up 60% of the startup capital with a sales turnover of Ksh 1,737,814.00, a gross profit of Ksh 386,480.67 per year. 

The business of poultry farm involves some risks which are outbreak of disease (Medium), possible flood (Very low), inferior vaccine and fire outbreak (Medium). However, the intention is to reduce this risk by having a regular veterinary officer and ensuring veterinary products are purchased from trusted suppliers only. To reduce the risk of flooding, the location chosen for the business is on a raised ground and the structures will be designed to eliminate vulnerability to floods. The construction design will also incorporate fire safety and operational procedures will bring the risk of fire close to zero.

This business will meet some societal needs such as improve the standard of living of our employees by creating employment, development of more entrepreneurs and serve as source of encouragement to the youths as well as contributing to the development of the state by paying tax.
