ABSTRACT

It has became necessary in view of the wide popularity and the very great demand for cash for a successful operation of state of affairs and fund to see its effective and efficient. This project work tries to identify, analyse and suggest ways of increasing and correcting the imbalance in the effective cash management of the available fund in the credit of the state account. A case study of the ministry of finance, Ekiti state was used. Based on this project work, along the ways of increasing and correcting the imbalance in the effective cash management of available fund in the credit of the state account include the following:

•Ensure proper control

•Good implementation of budget

•Establishment of good accounting department

•Employment of qualified personnel e.t.c

It is hereby concluded that it the above control can be put in place, fraud and corruption will be reduced to some extent.
