ABSTRACT
This research work examined the roles of Project evaluation on business activities of Construction Companies. Emphasis is made on how Construction Companies go about the evaluation and selection of Projects to be carried out. The researcher used three (3) Construction Companies in Abeokuta South, Ogun State which are: Sato Engineering Nigeria Limited (IBB Boulevard Oke – Mosan), Abayomi Construction Company (Kemta Idi Aba) and Solution Construction Company (Abule Oloni). Seven research questions were raised. Questionnaires were distributed and collected from the various Managers of the selected Companies. The data were analyzed to determine the impact of project evaluation on the business activities of these Construction Companies with the use of Simple Percentage (%) and Standard deviation. The findings showed that project evaluation reduces the risk attached to the implementation of various projects in a Construction Company. It also enables the Companies to identity worthwhile projects.
