To secure a better understanding of the impact of collateral security on bank lending.
The objective of this work therefore is to examine the factors the necessitated the impact of collateral security in the Bank Lending with particular reference to the borrow and also to researchers.
Primary data was generated through the administration of questionnaires among the employees of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
Responses from the questionnaires were classified according, Responses table were constructed and one hypothesis were tested using Chi – Square test statistics.
Furthermore, the general functions of collateral security, their objective and their structure are brought to limelight. Also the ability to elaborate and assess the bank mode of giving loan and advnce and their problems is a right step towards securing a better understanding of operation features of the banks.
