(Chemical Engineering Project Topics & Materials)

This project contains details of Coal fired circulating fluidize boiler. The motivation of our project was to develop a method which is energy economical i.e. uses less energy owing to increasing energy issues. Process description, mass balance, energy balance, equipment design, and cost estimation of circulating fluidized bed boiler for combustion of coal to generate 50 MW electricity as part of chemical plan design project.
Coal has always been at the top of list of sources of energy. We have been dependent on coal for power generation but with technological advancements and development of new techniques have made coal usage more economical and environmental friendly in comparison to conventional combustion systems.

The major components of a gas turbine are compressor, combustors, turbine and generator. It operates by continuous drawing in fresh air into the compressor. The Air is then compressed to a high pressure in the compressor and discharge into the combustion. Here the air is missed with gas and burns continuous once ignited to increase its energy... ABSTRACT Five coal samples from Odagbo (Kogi State), Owukpa (Benue State), Ezimo (Enugu State), Amansiodo (Enugu State) and Inyi (Enugu State) weresubjected to proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, calorific value determination, petrographic and thermogravimetric analysis to determine their suitability for power generation. Tests were carried out... Continue Reading
Adding to the requirement and need for power supply for day to day activities, it is therefore a necessity to design the power system to maintain minimal technical losses in the network, because most of our system component lack sufficient reactive power ability, this mean that the penetration of distributed generation (DG) will give way to reduce...
